Marketing & Customer Service Websites

Our recommended websites on marketing and customer service:

Copernicus Marketing Consulting — this is a different kind of marketing consulting firm, one that attempts to take a scientific and research-driven approach to marketing. One of the best features of this site is their Marketing IQ Test, something all marketing professionals should take at least once a year!

Kotler Marketing Groupthe home of Marketing Guru Dr. Philip Kotler, whose new marketing philosophy is “marketing is not the art of finding clever ways to dispose of what you make, it is the art of creating genuine customer value.” This certainly beats his old definition that marketing is “a social and managerial process by which individuals and groups obtain what they need and want through creating, offering and exchanging products of value with others.” It’s nice to see the guru of textbook marketing understanding that the customer is at the heart of the marketing process!

MarketingProfs — founded in 2000, MarketingProfs is the largest online community of marketing professionals, with over 382,000 members. Offering a wide range of resources, including articles, case studies, online seminars, guides, reports and newsletters, MarketingProfs is a rich and trusted resource for marketers worldwide. Many resources are free, though they also offer a Professional Membership with enhanced benefits and access to additional resources and information.

MarketingSherpa  — is a research firm specializing in tracking what works in all aspects of marketing (and what does not work.) They publish useful case studies, results, data, and best practices for marketing, advertising and public relations professionals. Free articles are often posted openly for about 10 days before being placed in their pay-per-view Research Library. Hence it pays off to visit the MarketingSherpa site frequently.

Peppers + Rogers Group — from the folks who wrote the books on 1to1 Marketing. Their 1to1 Media site contains a great deal of reference material on their 1to1 Marketing approach, along with news, articles, webinars, and newsletters.

UP Your Service! — dedicated to improving customer service, building service partnerships, creating winning service cultures….and uplifting service providers worldwide.
